According to media sources, 20.74 lakh new workers have enrolled under the Employees’ State Insurance, ESI Scheme in August this year. The Labour and Employment Ministry said that 28,917 new establishments have been brought under the social security ambit of the ESI Scheme in August. The year-on-year analysis shows a growth of 6.80 percent in net registrations compared to August last year.
