As per media reports Lt Gen Ajai Kumar Singh, Army Commander, SouthernCommand and Colonel 11 GR & Sikkim Scouts visited Gorkha Rifles battalions at Dras and Balbir. He laid a wreath at the Kargil War Memorial, paying tribute to the Bravehearts of Operation Vijay. Additionally, he visited the Hut of Remembrance and museum. The General officer also addressed the troops of his Gorkha Regiment on relevant contemporary issues, appreciating the high standards of professionalism being maintained. He felicitated individuals for their good work and exhorted all ranks to maintain and further their operational readiness.
