As per the media reports Lt Gen Ajai Kumar Singh, Army Commander, Southern Command and Colonel 11 GR & Sikkim Scouts visited 1/11 GR (BATALIK). The General, who once commanded this battalion, paid his respects to Maa Durga at the unit Mandir and addressed troops on current matters. As per the reports he lauded the battalion’s operational excellence and high morale, and felicitated individuals for their outstanding contributions.
