As per the media reports White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby was responding to a question on the ongoing elections in India at a press conference. Here he said that there is no more vibrant democracy in the world than India.
As per the reports 4 phases of Lok Sabha elections have been completed in India. The fifth phase of voting will be held on May 20. The elections will conclude with the seventh phase on June 1. Its results will come on June 4. Meanwhile, the US praised the people of India for exercising their right to vote. The White House said on Friday that there is no more vibrant democracy in the world than India. We applaud the people of India for their ability to vote and have a voice in their future government. Of course we wish the entire process to go smoothly.
Responding to another question, Kirby said that relations between India and America have strengthened under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Relations have improved especially during the last three years of the Biden administration. He said that our relations with India are very close and are getting closer.
