Indore: The Madhya Pradesh government sets a world record for planting the maximum number of trees within 24 hours in Indore. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav received the certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records. Guinness World Record Consultant, Nishchal Barot said, “More than 12 lakh trees were planted in Indore within 24 hours. The title of this Guinness world record was ‘Most trees planted by a team within 24 hours’. We started this record on July 13 at 7:03 pm, and it continued till today by 7:03 pm. The good thing is that Indore broke the old record at 5 pm. Assam held the old record for planting 9,26,000 trees in 24 hours. The numbers will be released later. However, we have handed the certificate of the new world record to CM Mohan Yadav..”
