According to the foreign ministry, the second India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable will take place here on Monday to talk about bilateral cooperation and share opinions on matters of shared interest. The roundtable’s inaugural meeting took place in Delhi in October 2022. Leading Singapore’s delegation will be Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry. Together with Yong, the Singaporean delegation includes Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; K. Shanmugam, Minister of Home Affairs and Law; Josephine Teo, Minister of Digital Development and Information; Tan See Leng, Minister of Manpower; and Chee Hong Tat, Minister of Transport and Second Minister of Finance.
According to an official statement, the Indian delegation will include Ministers of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs S Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Electronics and Information Technology, Railways, Information, and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has invited the Indian ministers to lunch in addition to the ISMR. Lawrence Wong, the Minister of Finance and Prime Minister, will thereafter receive a call from the Indian delegation.
