According to Media Sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates para-athletes Nishad Kumar and Preethi Pal after they fetched a silver and bronze for India respectively at the Paris Paralympics in Chateauroux on Sunday. In separate X posts, PM Modi termed para-athlete Preethi Pal’s win at the Paris Paralympics a “historic achievement”, and said “India is elated” at Nishad Kumar’s win.
“A historic achievement by Preeti Pal, as she wins her second medal in the same edition of the Paralympics 2024 with a Bronze in the Women’s 200m T35 event! She is an inspiration for the people of India. Her dedication is truly remarkable,” PM Modi’s X post on Sunday read.
“Congrats to Nishad Kumar for his remarkable achievement in winning a Silver medal in the Men’s High Jump T47 event at the Paralympics 2024! He has shown us all that with passion and determination, everything is possible. India is elated,” his other post on Monday read.
