According to media sources, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in New Delhi today to discuss the advancement of Tamil education at the University of Delhi. Dr. Murugan requested the Vice President to create a new Department and Research Centre for Tamil language and literature within Delhi University. He also urged Mr. Dhankhar to create new positions in other colleges and departments to teach Tamil so that the great ancient and classical language can be studied by students from across the country.
