According to Media Sources, Assam police arrested two persons on Saturday after the recovery of 18,000 YABA tablets and 2 kg crystalline methamphetamine worth Rs 15.5 crore in Assam’s Cachar district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a post on X. After getting inputs, Cachar Police intercepted a truck at Banskandi and, upon thorough search recovered the drugs.
As Per Media Sources, Informing about the incident, Assam Chief Minister Himmant Biswa Sarma shared a picture of Assam police with the recovered drugs on social media platform X and said “A successful anti-narcotic operation by @cacharpolice. Based on reliable inputs, Cachar Police intercepted a truck at Banskandi and, upon thorough search, recovered drugs worth Rs 15.5 crore.” “Two people have been apprehended in this connection. Good job,” he said on X.
