According to media sources, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan inaugurated a two-day seminar on animation, visual effects, games, and comics in Chennai today. In his inaugural speech, he said that the entertainment industry, including animation and post-production in India, has been witnessing a boom in recent years. He said that in the future, India is all set to become a hub for manufacturing local goods under the Make in India scheme. The Minister said this has become evident as India will be hosting the Global Manufacturing Summit next year. He added that this also includes the manufacturing elements of the entertainment industry.
