According to media sources, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, has organised a workshop on advancing oral health in India today. The programme was centred on enhancing the oral healthcare infrastructure in the country. Delivering a keynote address on the occasion, Niti Aayog member Dr Vinod Kumar Paul called for the crafting of the National Oral Health Programme 2.0, highlighting the need for the advancement of oral health in several areas. He also talked about capitalising on Ayurveda methods for oral health care and creating awareness of child oral health care. Mr Paul also underscored Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed nation by 2047 and creating a roadmap for the same. During the event, discussions on the role of unified oral health data collection in the country also took place.
