PM Modi Praises Kerala’s ‘RRR Champion’ Subramanian for Repairing Over 23,000 Chairs in Mann Ki Baat

According to media sources, In Today’s Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the ‘Waste to Wealth’ mantra is popular among people because of the success of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ and people have started talking about ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’. In this context, the Prime Minister in Mann Ki Baat mentioned Mr. Subramanian, 74 years old from Kozhikode, Kerala, who is repairing and making chairs usable again. This man has repaired more than 23 thousand chairs and thus made them reusable again.

PM also said that the people also call him ‘Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle’, that is, RRR, Champion. Mr. Modi also added that Subramanian’s unique efforts can also be seen at the offices of Kozhikode Civil Station, PWD, and LIC.

Mr. Subhramanian said, ”I am happy to be mentioned in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Man ki baat. I repair old chairs. I started working at the age of 16. I’m now 74 years old. I also go to the houses and repair chairs. I repair chairs at Civil Station, P.W.D., LIC, and BSNL offices. I have a wife and four children. I feel very happy today.”
