According to media sources, In Shooting, India’s Divanshi bagged a Gold in the women’s 25m pistol on fourth day of the ISSF Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru. She defeated Italy’s Cristina Magnani by two points in the final with a score of 35. France’s Heloise Fourre was third. It was a double-gold for Divanshi as she combined with India’s Tejaswini and Vibhuti Bhatia, to win the junior women’s 25m pistol team gold ahead of Czechia and Germany. Their combined tally being 1711.
At the ISSF junior world championship, India is leading the tally with 14 medals including 10 Gold, a Silver and three Bronze. The USA is at the second place, while Italy holds the third spot. China, with three medals, is currently in fourth place. The championships which include rifle, pistol, and shotgun events will end on 6th of this month.
