According to media source,five cars were damaged after the compound wall at the Kamala Nehru Women’s Hostel in Vijayawada collapsed.The wall collapse incident on Tuesday was caused by heavy rains in the region. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
As per media reports,hostel superintendent Surya Kumari informed about the incident and said, “Five cars were damaged due to the wall collapsing. We don’t know whose cars they were; usually, many people who come to the court park their vehicles here, and unfortunately, it happened this morning. We have reported the incident to the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and the police department.”Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the rainfall situation in several districts of the state and directed the administration to stay vigilant and prepared for the heavy rains expected from the cyclonic storm on October 17.
