According to media source,Raids on locations linked to Ramesh Hingorani, a junior auditor in the Technical Education Department in Bhopal, were conducted following a complaint regarding disproportionate assets.In the raids, the Bhopal unit of the Lokayukta’s Special Police establishment recovered gold jewellery worth around Rs 70 lakh and silver jewellery around Rs 55 lakh. Cash worth around Rs 13 lakh was also recovered following raids at six locations linked to Hingorani.
As per media reports,The raids were conducted after a complaint was filed against Hingorani alleging that he had assets disproportionate to his income. Following the complaint, six teams were formed to conduct raids at six different locations, including his bungalow, two schools and offices belonging to his son.Additionally, Lokayukta officials also recovered four cars and five two-wheelers from his Laxman Nagar bungalow, along with property documents worth crores. Hingorani, along with his sons Yogesh and Nilesh, face accusations of illegally occupying and selling government land in the Gandhi Nagar area.The recoveries were made as part of a late-night operation. Lokayukta officials said that the search operation is still ongoing and a final figure regarding the value of assets linked to Hingorani would be provided once the operation is complete.
