Bengaluru: Civic agencies, NDRF and SDRF teams working to ease the situation

According to media sources, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru in-charge minister D.K. Shivakumar said that the heavy downpour has led to waterlogging in parts of Bengaluru, and the civic agencies, along with NDRF and SDRF teams, are working round the clock to ease the situation. He said, Bengaluru has received 300 per cent surplus rain this season on average, and the low-lying areas in the western and southern parts of the city are facing waterlogging. Touring the flooded areas of the city, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath directed the officials to evacuate residents stranded in Yelahanka and supply drinking water, milk, and food to those residents.
