According to media sources, Around 20 lakh 74 thousand new workers have been enrolled under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme in August this year. Labour and Employment Ministry said that 28 thousand 917 new establishments have been brought under the social security ambit of the ESI Scheme in August. The year-on-year analysis shows a growth of 6.80 percent in net registrations compared to August last year.
