According to media sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, recognizing him as the architect of a united India. Speaking at an event in Botad, Gujarat, Mr. Shah said, to honor the legacy of Sardar Patel, the government has decided to celebrate Patel’s 150th birth anniversary over the next two years. This initiative aims to raise awareness about Patel’s thoughts and philosophy regarding national unity and strength.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah who is on a two day visit to Gujarat, inaugurated Sri Gopalananda Swami Yatrik Bhawan at the famous Kashtabhanjan Hanumanji Temple in Salangpur, located in Botad today. Built at a cost of 200 crore rupees, the new guest house will be equipped all with state-of-the-art facilities and will have 1100 rooms.
Tomorrow, Mr. Shah will inaugurate the state’s largest waste-to-energy plant at the Pirana waste dumping site in Ahmedabad. Built at a cost of Rs 375 crore on PPP model, the plant has the capacity to generate 15 mega watt of energy from 1 thousand metric tonnes of solid waste per day.
