According to media sources, Haryana Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam flagged off the walkathon organized on the Diamond Jubilee of Bharat Scouts and Guides at India Gate in New Delhi today. The Sports Minister congratulated the 65 lakh members of Bharat Scouts and Guides for completing this journey of 75 years and said that the participation of youth in this event is a reflection of their commitment to bringing about change. Addressing the participants of the walkathon, the Sports Minister said that the government wants the youth to be strong, stay away from drugs, and bring glory to the country in national and international sports. He added that, for this purpose, the Haryana government has created an excellent sports policy for the youth.
