According to media sources, Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the third edition of Nayi Chetna- Pahal Badlaav Ki on the 25th of November at Akashvani’s Rang Bhawan. The event will also be attended by Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi.
Nayi Chetna is a National Campaign that aims to amplify awareness and drive informed action against gender-based violence through grassroots initiatives. The Month campaign will run across all States and Union Territories till the 23rd of December.
The slogan for this year’s campaign is Ek Saath, Ek Awaaz, Hinsa Ke Khilaaf. It is organized by the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission under the aegis of the Rural Development Ministry. The initiative is led by an extensive Self-Help Group network under this mission.
