According to media sources, The Noida International Airport at Jewar has successfully conducted the first flight validation test, paving the way to begin its full-fledged operations next year. Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu was present during the operation of the first flight. The Minister commended the efforts of the entire team involved. He remarked that the Jewar airport is set to transform air travel and regional connectivity in India.
Mr. Naidu emphasized that the airport will serve as a world-class facility handling around 12 million passengers annually. The Minister also reviewed the progress of connectivity plans, including road, rail, and metro links, and discussed future high-speed rail connectivity. He underlined the immense potential of the project, to create thousands of jobs, boost tourism, and drive regional development in Western Uttar Pradesh.
The Airport Authority in a statement said that the launch carrier for the airport verified the airport’s approach procedures, confirming the accuracy and functionality of its navigational aids and air traffic control systems.
The airport will combine Swiss efficiency and Indian hospitality to offer rich experiences and comprehensive commercial attractions and services to its passengers. It will connect greater Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh with other cities in India and the world.
