According to media sources, The government today said over eight thousand women in the country have sought treatment at the de-addiction centres during the last three years. This was informed in a written reply to the Lok Sabha by Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, B. L. Verma. He said over 315 crore rupees were spent for treatment in 615 de-addiction centres set up across the country during the past three years. The minister further informed that over 14 crore people have been sensitised under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
