According to media sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said ‘health for all’ is one of the main pillars of his government’s resolve—’Sabka ‘Saath, Sabka Vikas.’. The Prime Minister, laying the foundation stone for the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh this afternoon, said this institute will offer free treatment to underprivileged cancer patients. Mr. Modi said that this institute will be built on 10 acres, and in the first phase, a hospital with a 100-bed facility will be ready. The cancer hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art machines and specialist doctors.
Referring to the efforts of the government regarding cancer treatment, he said that many announcements have been made in this year’s budget to fight cancer. The Prime Minister said that cancer medicines will be made cheaper, and cancer daycare centres will be opened in every district of the country in the next 3 years. He also announced the opening of cancer clinics in district hospitals.
The Prime Minister also appealed to the people to take advantage of government schemes like Ayushman Yojana and Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
Criticizing the comments being made on Sanatan Dharma by some political parties, Mr. Modi said that there is a group of leaders who make fun of religion. They keep abusing our festivals and traditions. These people who hate the Hindu faith have been living in some disguise or the other for centuries. They keep attacking our beliefs, culture, and temples. Foreign powers also support these people.
The prime minister said that our temples have also been centres of science and social consciousness besides centres of worship. Mr. Modi said that our sages gave us the science of Ayurveda and yoga, which are being practiced all over the world today.
In the evening, Mr. Modi will also hold discussions with all the BJP MPs, MLAs, and other officials of the state in Bhopal.
As part of his three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam, the prime minister today reached Madhya Pradesh, where he will also inaugurate the two-day Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal.
Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will travel to Bhagalpur in Bihar, where he will release the 19th instalment of the PM KISAN scheme. Over 9.7 crore farmers across the country will receive direct financial assistance totalling more than 21 thousand 500 crore rupees. He will also inaugurate and dedicate various development projects in Bihar.
Prime Minister Modi will then head to Guwahati to attend the Jhumoir Binandini (Mega Jhumoir) 2025 event. The Mega Jhumoir celebration marks 200 years of the tea industry and the beginning of industrialisation in Assam. On Tuesday, he will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 in Guwahati.
