According to media sources, Twenty game developers were selected as finalists in the Bharat Tech Triumph Program (BTTP) Season 3 on Wednesday. The winners will now represent India at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2025 in San Francisco between 17th-21st March, Start-Up Mahakumbh in India between 3rd-5th April, and the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in India between 1st-4th May, showcasing their groundbreaking games and indigenous gaming IPs to a global audience of investors, publishers, and industry pioneers.BTTP is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), Government of India, and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to champion India’s game development talent. It is a flagship initiative of the Interactive Entertainment and Innovation Council (IEIC) and WinZO Games. With an unprecedented pan-India reach, Edition 3 of the BTTP drew diverse participation from over 1000 gaming studios, indie developers, students from top IIT & IIMs, and tech startups across PC, mobile, console, and immersive platforms. As per a US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) report, the Indian gaming opportunity currently stands at ~ USD 4 bn and is poised to breach the market size of USD 60 billion by 2034. A programmatic intervention such as BTTP exemplifies PM Narendra Modi’s vision, aspirations, and talent of Indian game developers, and the potential to become a USD 60 billion global gaming market.
