According to Media Sources, Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has assured full government support for new startups developed by students. After interacting with students involved in the hyperloop project at IIT Thaiyur, the Minister pledged to prioritize its development and urged students to focus on innovative technology prototypes. Addressing the inauguration of the Zetwork Electronics Manufacturing Centre in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, Vaishnaw announced the establishment of two new electronic industries in Sriperumbudur and Manalur, with an investment of 1,112 crore rupees.
As Per Media Sources, He also revealed plans to renovate 77 railway stations under the Amrit Scheme and construct 715 railway overbridges. Furthermore, eight Vande Bharat trains are now operating in Tamil Nadu. The Minister emphasized the government’s respect for all Indian languages and the need to promote and preserve them. He praised Tamil Nadu’s role in electronics exports, ranking second globally, and highlighted the nation’s rapid technological growth. Shri Vaishnaw also shared that the Zetwork Electronics Centre will be developed on 15 acres of land with an investment of Rs. 200 crore. Over 8,000 people, primarily women, will be employed within 8 months, with 80% of the workforce being female.
