According to media sources, The Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan today virtually laid the foundation stone for the construction of hostels in different schools across various district of Manipur under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) and Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN).
Under the scheme, Naree Kalyan Vidyalaya of Bishnupur district has been identified for the construction of a hostel. The initiative aims at uplifting tribal communities through education and infrastructure development. The virtual foundation laying ceremony was organised by the State Directorate of Education (S) and Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur- Pooja Elangbam, IAS and other officials attended the ceremony.
On the other hand, the Union Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar also virtually laid the foundation stone of DA-JGUA Hostel for T. Vaichong in Kangpokpi district today in presence of Union Minister of State for Education (Independent Charge) Jayant Chaudhury and MP of Manipur Outer Parliamentary Constituency- Alfred Kangam S Arthur.
