According to Media Sources, The Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, Eaknarayan Aryal, is discussing with the secretaries about easing the delivery of basic services in the current adverse situation. Meanwhile, the Nepali Army have taken strict control of Kathmandu valley. Four people have been arrested on charges of looting the Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Maharajgunj. The security bodies also seized currency more than Rs 3.37 million from different individuals involved in robbery from Gaushala-Chabahil and Bouddha area. In a related incident, NA confiscated Rs 232,500 and USD 2,500 from the Dilli Bazaar-Narayanthan area when suspects fled from the site.
As Per Media Sources, The Army also confirmed the recovery of one additional looted firearm, bringing the total number of weapons recovered so far to 32. Furthermore, 26 inmates who had escaped from the District Prison in Dadeldhura have been rearrested. Security personnel also successfully thwarted an attempted prison break at the Central Jail in Dilli Bazaar, Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has suspended the hearing of cases until the next notice. Life in Jhapa and Dhangadhi in East Nepal is returning to normalcy with the deployment of security forces.
