Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visits PM Lanka village in Andhra Pradesh

According to Media Sources, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is visiting Pedamainavanilanka (PM Lanka) village in Narasapuram mandal in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh today. The Union Minister participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme along with Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Kesav, officials and the public.   Later, she inaugurated drone and artificial intelligence skill development training programmes being implemented under CSR by Sient Pvt Ltd. The PM Lanka village in Narasapuram mandal is emerging as a landmark of integrated rural development, driven by government schemes and strong corporate social responsibility (CSR).

As Per Media Sources, The Minister also reviewed paintings prepared by students on the ‘Viksit Bharat – Digital India’ theme and presented certificates to those who had completed training at a digital training centre. She inaugurated an Artificial Intelligence training centre and inspected the construction work of a protective wall in an area affected by coastal erosion, along with the officials. According to the District Collector, Ch. Nagarani, a 100-metre anti-erosion embankment, taken up at a cost of Rs 13.72 crore, has achieved 55 per cent progress and is targeted for completion by January 2026.
