Kochi: A ten-member delegation of US congressional staffers visited Southern Naval Command at Kochi on 06 October 2022, as part of their familiarisation visit to India organised by Ministry of External Affairs.
The delegation interacted with Rear Admiral J Singh, Chief of Staff and other Staff Officers. A brief overview of historical, training and operational aspects of Indian Navy was presented to the delegation. Discussions were held on various avenues to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest including Maritime Partnership, MDA, capability enhancement and challenges in IOR.
The delegation also visited Indigenous Aircraft Carrier, INS Vikrant and INS Dronacharya, School of Gunnery & Missile Warfare.
