NEW DELHI- Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh, FOCINC WNC called on the Hon’ble CM of UP, Shri Yogi Adityanath ji at Lucknow on 26 December 2022. Highlighting the importance of spreading awareness about the Indian Navy among the youth/ populace of UP, FOCINC requested the Hon’ble CM for early finalisation of a NausenaShauryaVatika based upon historic association with INSGomati with Lucknow.
The Museum will also serve as a symbol of recognition of the people of UP in service to the nation. The recently decommissioned ship INS Gomati served Indian Navy for 34 years. CM assured us that the early progress of the project will enhance tourism potential and increase exposure to the Indian Navy.
Prior to interaction, FOCINC also visited various possible sites for the construction of a memorial along with officials of the Tourism Dept of UP.
