The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is consistently working towards bringing a new era to the Indian Aviation Industry by switching to Green Energy. AAI is making efforts to promote the use of renewable energy at its airports and is also focusing on prohibiting the utilisation of single-use plastic.
AAI’s Jharsuguda Airport is advancing towards the reduction of carbon footprint & has switched to a 100% Green Power Tariff for fulfilling the airport’s daily energy requirements. The airport is equipped with a 90 kWp Solar Power Plant which generates 29.5 Lakh Units of electricity.
