According to the media sources, Chandrayaan-3 will make its first attempt to land on Moon’s south polar region. The Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO’s) third Moon mission i.e. Chandrayaan-3’s Lander Module (LM) is all set to land on the lunar surface on Wednesday evening.
Ahead of the planned landing, the Uttar Pradesh administration has directed government schools to remain open on August 23 between 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm and arrange live telecast of Chandrayaan-3’s soft landing on the Moon for students.
The mission objectives of Chandrayaan-3 are to demonstrate a safe and soft landing on the surface of the moon, to demonstrate rover roving on the Moon, and to conduct scientific experiments.
