According to the media sources, Indian Archer Aditi Gopichand Swami who became the youngest women’s world champion in modern archery, said “I’m very happy since India never won a gold medal before this (in the World Archery Championship) and I got the chance to bring it in individual and team…We got the gold in team first so I took it as a motivation and performed well in individual event.”
Indian Archer Simranjeet Kaur who won bronze medal in women’s recurve archery team also said “It’s a team medal. As a team we’ve put a lot of efforts and worked really hard all across the year for this medal. It was really important, since Olympics are scheduled for next year and this medal boosted the team’s confidence. Hopefully, we get a medal in Olympics too”
