Today, Union Minister Anurag Thakur wrote on Social Media Platform ‘X’ (Formerly Twitter), “Had the honor of felicitating the medalists from our Shooting, Tennis, Sailing and Wushu Contingents from the Asian Games 2022 in New Delhi today. Heartfelt gratitude to our Champions who have pushed the boundaries and raised Team India’s medal tally to a remarkable 56 and still counting, including 13 Golds!
From the thrilling triumphs in Tennis, the impressive fighting spirit on display in Wushu, the conquering of challenging waters by our Sailors, to the best-ever performance in Shooting, our proud Champion athletes have delivered their absolute best and have left the nation in awe!
I’m elated to witness a renewed passion and vigor in the eyes of our Contingent, setting higher standards for the upcoming edition of the Games and I assure you that the Government under the leadership of Hon.
