Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin after the conclusion of ‘2+2’ ministerial dialogue saying India-US partnership is truly a force for global good.
The two Secretaries briefed PM on their discussions with Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, in the “2+2” format.
Yesterday, PM Modi posted on social media platform ‘X’, “Glad to receive @SecBlinken and @SecDef. The “2+2” Format is a key enabler for further strengthening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Our shared belief in democracy, pluralism and the rule of law underpins our mutually beneficial cooperation in diverse sectors. The India-US partnership is truly a force for global good.”
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also posted on social media platform ‘X’, “In New Delhi I discussed with Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi how the U.S. and India are working to promote an open and secure Indo-Pacific region. I look forward to continuing our innovations in technology, clean energy, and space for a brighter future.”
