New Delhi: AAI’s Kolhapur Airport recently completed various development works including the extension of the runway, construction of a new apron and an isolated aircraft parking stand.
The previous 1370 mtr runway length has been extended to 1780 mtrs. The new apron with three aircraft parking stands is also added to the existing facilities whereas an Isolated aircraft parking stand with a link taxiway has also been commissioned.
All-weather operations from RWY 25 will be possible with these facilities and will also reduce the delay and cancellations of flights during bad weather conditions and poor visibility.
