Affordable & quality healthcare to every poor person top priority of govt says Union Minister J P Nadda

According to media sources, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda attended the fifth convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, today. On this occasion, he awarded gold medals and degrees to the students. A total of 434 students received their degrees at the convocation. He mentioned that providing affordable and quality healthcare to every poor person in the country is a top priority for the government. In his address, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda mentioned that at the beginning of this century, India had only one AIIMS, today, 22 AIIMS are operational across the country. He praised AIIMS Rishikesh for saving 309 critical patients via effective use of drone and helicopter services. He also added that by utilizing digital services like telemedicine, the institute has become one of the best in the country in delivering healthcare in remote and underserved areas of the state. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare services to citizens. In his address to the students, he encouraged them to work with compassion, honesty, and dedication, without any selfish motives
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, also present on the occasion said the efforts are being taken towards self self-reliant and strong Bharat in the field of healthcare. He added that AIIMS Rishikesh is an example of that. The Union Health Minister and the Chief Minister also inaugurated various healthcare services at AIIMS Rishikesh.
