Today, Official ‘X’ (Formerly Twitter) Account of Indian Army Tweeted, “General Manoj Pande COAS visited the calamitous lake outburst affected areas in Sikkim & reviewed the situation. The COAS met Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), Hon’ble CM Sikkim & assured all support from Indian Army in the ongoing relief operations. CM Sikkim, while sharing his condolences on losses suffered by the soldiers, also thanked COAS for the effective Civil-Military coordination in dealing with the situation. The COAS also interacted with soldiers deployed in forward areas of #Sikkim and commended them for their dedicated efforts in service of the Nation & commendable role in saving the lives of civilians affected by the calamity.”
