According to media sources, Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav said the Ministry is committed to the welfare of the people. Briefing media in New Delhi on Friday on the achievements of his Ministry in the last 100 days, Mr Jadhav said the Ministry and World Health Organisation signed a donor agreement to improve the integration of Ayush systems into the global healthcare system. The Minister highlighted the MoU with Vietnam on Medicinal Plants to advance traditional medicine practices worldwide and the MoU with Malaysia on Ayurveda to promote research, knowledge exchange, and the creation of Ayurvedic treatment regimens.
The union minister said that the Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy and the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding to carry out the One Herb, One Standard initiative. To guarantee easy access to Ayush medications, the government intends to open special medical stores at every tehsil level. He informed that 14,692 Ayush camps were organized around the country to meet the healthcare needs of the elderly.
Mr Jadhav said that his Ministry convened a review meeting to incorporate Ayurvedic packages under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana to incorporate Ayush treatment into mainstream healthcare.
