The Maharashtra government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bajaj Finserv under which the non-banking finance company will invest ₹5,000 crore in Pune, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Saturday.
Today, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis tweeted, “Maharashtra gets one of the largest financial services’ investment in the country ! Joined the Chairman of Bajaj FinServe, Shri Sanjiv Bajaj to witness the MoU signing between Government of Maharashtra and #BajajFinServe for a huge investment in pune, of around ₹5000 crore towards financial services, with an employment generation of 40,000.This will give a big boost to Pune to become the financial services hub. I assured complete support and speedy process from Govt for the execution.”
