According to media source,The celebrations of Ayurveda Day-2024 with the theme “Ayurved Innovation For Global Health” were held at the High Commission of India in Bangladesh on Tuesday. As part of the Ayurveda Day celebration, the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre organised lectures and Exhibition stalls on Ayurveda followed by Sitar Sangeet in Dhaka. Speaking on the occasion, the acting High Commissioner of India in Bangladesh Pawan Badhe emphasised on the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing between India and Bangladesh in the field of Ayurveda and other traditional medicines.
As per media reports,The High Commissioner noted that Ayurveda is an ancient healing science and way of life, deeply rooted in the civilization of India and since 2016, the birthday of Sage Dhanwantari, the “Father of Ayurveda” is being celebrated as “Ayurveda Day”.Ayurveda experts, researchers, students, representatives of the pharmaceutical industry and prominent people of the civil society of Bangladesh were present on the occasion.
