According to media sources, Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police have jointly foiled a terror plot by recovering arms, ammunition and explosives on the Amritsar border today.
Based on reliable information from the BSF intelligence wing, both the security forces launched an extensive search operation and recovered one huge packet containing 2.7 kg of high explosives, two hand grenades with accessories, two pistols, four magazines, 30 live rounds, two detonators and an IED circuit.
BSF sources said that, as per initial information, the packet was dropped by a drone.
Sources said that despite the heightened situation on the border, the arms syndicate across the border has not stopped its malicious designs to push weapons into India.
