According to media sources, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has been felicitated with the Distinguished Alumni Award by the Indian Institute of Technology- Kanpur in Kanpur today.
The Distinguished Alumnus Award started in year 1989, is the highest award given by IIT Kanpur in recognition of outstanding achievements of its alumni. Mr Kumar graduated from IIT Kanpur with a B.Tech in Civil Engineering in the year 1985. He was conferred the award by the Institute’s 66th Foundation Day celebration today.
