According to media sources, BJP Lok Sabha MP from Haridwar Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the centre and the Uttarakhand government are jointly running rescue operations in Uttarkashi. He informed that the central government has also deployed heavy helicopters to expedite the rescue operation.
Rajya Sabha BJP MP from Uttarakhand, Naresh Bansal said that the incident of cloudburst in Uttarkashi has severely disrupted businesses and the daily lives of residents. He said that 3 ITBP, 4 NDRF and 4 SDRF teams have been deployed to rescue those affected and provide food and other essential services.
