New Delhi: Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a subsidiary of state-owned Energy Efficiency Services Limited is set to float tender for around 50, 000 electric buses. CESL already speed up for these electric buses by 2030.
This tender will look forward to infrastructure and transportation progress and also curbing air pollution. India is planning to buy these electric buses worth $ 10 billion (approximately Rs 1,000 crore).
The government has set the target to achieve net zero emission by 2070.
CESL is focused on delivering clean, affordable and reliable energy. Convergence focuses on energy solutions that lie at the confluence of renewable energy, electric mobility and climate change.
It builds upon the decentralized solar development experience in under-served rural communities in India, and over time, using battery energy storage, will deliver renewable energy solutions to power agricultural pumps, street lighting, domestic lighting and cooking appliances in villages.
