According to media sources, The Chief Justice of India, Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai said that whether it is the judiciary or the executive, it is our fundamental duty to reach out to the last citizen of this country who needs justice. The CJI said it while inaugurating newly built advocate chambers multi-level parking in Allahabad High Court campus on Saturday. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and several Supreme Court judges were also present on the occasion.
The CJI highlighted that over the 75 years since the Constitution was adopted, the judiciary and executive have enacted numerous laws that have significantly advanced social and economic equality in India. He added that there are big problems going on in the countries around us. India is continuously progressing after 75 years of independence and the Indian Constitution has an important role behind this. CJI said that our Constitution has saved this country from many crises. India is progressing with the Constitution.
CJI further highlighted that when the Constitution was being made and its final draft was presented before the Constituent Assembly, at that time some people used to say that the Constitution is too federal while some used to say that it is too unitary. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar had replied that the Constitution is neither wholly federal nor wholly unitary. Constitution will keep India united and strong both in times of peace and war.
Minister of State, Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal said one should learn from UP CM Yogi Adityanath, how to complete projects quickly. He also praised the chief minister for his work during Maha Kumbh.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that first condition of good governance is Rule of Law. He said that Prayagraj attracts attention of the country and the world as a land of religion, knowledge and justice.
