As per media reports Delhi government has taken a big decision after the death of seven newborn babies in a fire in a hospital in Delhi. The government will direct all private and government hospitals to complete a fire safety audit and submit a compliance report by June 8.
As per the reports Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj gave this information on Monday. Bhardwaj had called a meeting to discuss the fire incident at the infant hospital in Vivek Vihar area of East Delhi. He said after the meeting, ‘We had issued guidelines for fire safety preparedness to all the hospitals on April 24. We had asked them to conduct a fire safety audit. We will ask all private and government hospitals in Delhi to conduct a fire safety audit by June 8 and submit a compliance report to the health department.
