According to media source,Indian star shuttler and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu has advanced to the women’s singles quarterfinals at the Denmark Open this evening. Sindhu defeated China’s Han Yue 18-21, 21-12, 21-16 in the round of 16 of the women’s singles event. She is the only Indian left in contention, with all other Indian shuttlers facing defeats in their first rounds.
As per media reports,Earlier, in her opening match, Sindhu advanced after her Taipei opponent, Pai Yu Po, retired midway through the game. The tournament’s star Indian shuttler is aiming to regain her form after a challenging season and win the title.
