In Nagaland, the project is underway to develop the Kohima Bypass Road, converting it into a two-lane road with paved shoulders. This proposed development will stretch over a length of 10.5 kilometers and include a 0.5-kilometer tunnel, connecting National Highway 39, 150 (currently NH-2), and National Highway 61 (currently NH-29) as part of Package-2. The primary objective of this project is to enhance connectivity with other states in the northeast region, providing fast, sustainable, and cost-effective mobility options to all commuters. Under the leadership of PM Modi, this project underscores the commitment to delivering world-class highway infrastructure to the northeast and accelerating its economic growth.
