According to the media sources, The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Friday moved Delhi High Court against a trial court’s Thursday order of granting bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged excise policy case. The High Court has halted the release of Arvind Kejriwal following ED’s plea till it hears the case.

As per the reports, The federal agency was allowed urgent hearing of its plea seeking stay on Kejriwal’s bail by a bench of Justices Sudhir Kumar Jain and Ravinder Dudeja. The bench said the case file will come to it in 10-15 minutes and after that it will hear the matter. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court granted Kejriwal bail on a ₹1 lakh bond, with the embattled Aam Aadmi Party chief set to walk out of Tihar Jail on Friday.

As per the information, ASG SV Raju representing ED told the High Court that the trial court order has not yet been uploaded and conditions unknown. He also informed the court that the probe agency has not been given full opportunity to oppose the bail application of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Additional Solicitor General further urged the High Court that let the order be stayed and the matter be heard as early as possible.
